Meditation During Quarantine-Spreading Awareness to the Whole Day

Hello!

Currently, I have been meditating for a little under a month. Using the Headspace App, today I am on Day 3 of the Basics 3 Course.

When I first started meditating, I was only focused and aware while I was meditating and rarely thought about it during the rest of the day. However, this session described how one should be aware before the exercise when one is sitting down and getting comfortable and also after the exercise, throughout the day.

I think this is really important because it will help me make meditation a way of life and not just a ten minute start to my day.

This session also included a great tip to put the word “awareness” on a sticky note and hang it in your house. They said to put it where you will see it often so it can remind you to be mindful during the entire day. I made mine and put it on a wall in my kitchen so that whenever I walk by, I see it!

What a great idea!
