Gardening Corner Diary Week 2π±
Hello!
This is Week 2 of the Gardening Corner Diary and I am sooo excited to share three new updates with you!
Earlier this week, I realized that the TOMATOES and the PEPPER plant were outgrowing their pots so I moved them into a DIY Gardening Bed! I will be posting more on how to make this cheap alternative to store-bought plant beds soon!
Next, the CORN is now all outside in the dry aquarium and with the BLACKBERRY!
Lastly, a baby redbud tree and a baby dogwood tree have joined the garden! Due to a drought last fall, many of the trees in my backyard didnβt make it and we are currently trying to plant new ones to fill in the holes. Besides the baby redbud tree and baby dogwood tree, we have four new trees! However, the Garden Corner will only be focusing on the baby redbud tree and baby dogwood tree as they are the only trees that are currently growing in pots.
Now for the Weekly Status on the PLANTS!
First, CORN!
STATUS: ALIVE AND WELL; 3/7 CONFIRMED SPROUTING; 1/7 UNCONFIRMED SPROUTING; 3/7 UNSPROUTED
We have 1 NEW sprout! How exciting!!!! As for the big guy, now named CORNY, he is officially over 2 inches tall! Looking good, CORNY!
Next up is the TOMATOES and the PEPPER Plant!
TOMATOES!
STATUS: ALIVE; 2/3 HEALTHY AND WELL; 1/3 OK, SLIGHTLY SHRIVELED
These guys are growing tall, now almost over 1 foot! Looking better than last week and they seem to be enjoying their new home, a DIY Gardening Bed, that they share with the PEPPER plant!
PEPPER!
STATUS: ALIVE AND WELL
Still looking really nice with vibrant colors. Like the TOMATO plants, he seems to like his new home! And he also has a wonderful NEW name: PEPPY THE PEPPER!
Now, the LETTUCE!
STATUS: ALIVE AND WELL; 14/15 SPROUTED, 2/15 SLIGHTLY BROWN; 1/15 UNSPROUTED;
As you might have noticed from the status section, I have 3 NEW LETTUCE plants! They are doing well, with 2/3 NEW ones already sprouted!!!! The older ones are getting big, over 1 inch tall and I hope to plant them in dirt soon! However, sadly, two of the sprouted LETTUCE seem to be turning brown so I am going to investigate that further and give an update in the next post.
And next, on a happy note, the BLACKBERRY PLANT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
STATUS: ALIVE AND WELL
As you guys heard in the last post, this guy is quite the survivor! He now has 8 LEAVES! Unbelievable story! I canβt wait to see what happens next with this guy!
And last, but certainly not least, the NEW TREES!
STATUS: FROM WHAT I CAN TELL, ALIVE!
I just got these guys yesterday and so far, NO LEAVES. But they are in dirt and I have watered them well, so with a little sunlight and a lot of care, I think some leaves will be sprouting soon!!!!!
Thatβs all for now!
HAPPY GARDENING!!!!!
